Wise Words

“People think that stories are shaped by people. In fact, it’s the other way around.”

“People think that stories are shaped by people. In fact, it’s the other way around.”

Sir Terry Pratchett (1948–2015) was a beloved English author best known for his Discworld series — 41 novels of satirical fantasy that used humor to explore deeply human themes.

Curator’s Note
Pratchett understood something that most writers miss: we don’t tell stories — stories tell us. The narratives we consume shape how we see the world, what we believe is possible, and who we think we are. This is why curation matters. The stories we choose to share shape the people who read them.
